I bought a used 24 volt genarator for my M38 project which did not come with one, and after looking at it closer today I'm not sure it's the correct one. It seems that the distance between the mounts on the generator is about 1/2 wider than the distance outside to outside on the mounting bracket and the front plate on the engine. It could be shimed but I would rather have the correct one . Here are the numbers from the tag on it.
It's Delco...ORDANCE # 7355736
model #1117495
Thanks in advance!
Is this the correct 24 Volt Generator?

That's the correct replacement generator for a M38. I'll bet you have the civvy generator bracket.
