Hi, i have a m38 ser 55290, del date 2/52 . Does the delivery date make my m38 a 1952 or is it possible it was built in 1951 but delivered in 1952. I could not find any database info with serial numbers.

The delivery date is also the date the jeep left the assembly line and passed final procurement agency inspection. If you have a delivery date of February 1952 then you have a 1952 M38. Willys did not use a "Model Year" system like most other car manufactures. Willys used the "Calendar Year" system which starts Jan and ends Dec.
