Sppedo drive cable

Post by davem201m38 »

Hi all,
I'm in the UK so not the easiest place to get M38 bits.
Is the Speedo drive cable on the M38 the same as the MB? There seems to be cables out there that claim to fit almost any model 84/90 box.
If it is I'm sorted as an MB speedo drive cable is easy to get.
Ta, Dave.

The Military parts manuals clearly show non-matching part numbers for the WWII MB core, casing or assembly vs either the early or late M38 cores, casings, or assemblies.

Speedo Drive Cable

Post by ocwd »

Hi Dave,

Try Midwest Military for the drive cable. If they won’t ship to England, I’d be happy to receive the cable From them and ship it to you (no charge of coarse). Send me a PM if you’re interested.

Roger at Classic Jeep Parts in Sweden has them for a good price:

Shipping from him is always fast and cheap, as is his service.

MidWest military's products are second to none but you'll probably incur import duties, VAT and - if you're really unlucky - a customs inspection fee if you buy from outside the EU.
