Morning all. Ryan's M38 book is well worth every penny. To me the $60 is deminimus.
What is it that's often said? The price is long forgotten while the value is always remembered.
$60 may seem "high" but there are a ton of ways we spend more than that on something that's ephemeral, that doesn't last.
Dunkin coffee - That might be your week's coffee expense.
A tank of gas.
If you buy breakfast or lunch at work.....
Depending on your brand, a few cases of beer.....
The wrong parts for your M38!

My point is that Ryan and Wes put a lot of their own hours, sweat, and effort into researching and creating the book. That's what's usually forgotten by us, the consumer, when we see something and balk at the price.

I think the book is worth it and if you can get Ryan to sign it, all the better!

But, I fully admit I like and prefer books to beer. Enjoy! :-)

And some of the money Ryan raises from the sale of this book helps fund M38 (and M38A1) research that benefits all of us.

Just not buying one piece that someone tries to sell you as M-38 (and it isn't) is worth the price of admission.

M38 Book

The book is well worth $60. I've referred to mine many times over the coarse of my M38 build.

Is it possible to buy it direct from Ryan? Does he have a website or contact email?

Hey thanks for the compliments!

Yes the book gets a little expensive when selling to Debella and Army Jeep parts then they mark it up to to stay profitable.

I used to sell the book on the side, but with my veterinary clinic getting so busy and the shortage of veterinarians, I have to suck it up and work more and more hours so I just have not gone back to selling the book myself.

I just had another 100 books shipped to Debella so he should have them in stock by now.

May have to come up with some better options down the road but for now I am just trying to keep up.

I am really glad the book is a big help and I have used the money for this website and to further Jeep research to some individuals that have the information.

Problem is that the microfilm needs to be cleaned before it can be read/scanned and you don't always know what is going to be on a roll so sometimes it is not useful info. It all takes lots of time and effort and we are all grateful for these people.

Ryan,
What's the hardest part of selling the book on the side? Is the packing and shipping? Is it the inventory?
I'm wondering if there isn't a way to help all of us out - not to take away from AJP and DeBella's but.... Signed copies from you would make them more appealing. How much is the other vendor markup?
