Numbers and letters on bumperett

I have a 52 m38 sn94889. On one of the bumpperetts I can make out some letters and numbers.Reads as follows,CA*86 on top and ATB on the bottom. Can any one help. What does the ATP stand for?

The last M38 MC72329 was produced in July 1952. Are you sure of your 94889 serial number?

Your bumperette figures are probably a California Guard unit.

Wes,thanks for the reply.Th mc94889 was the info I got from the guy I bought it from.I have no data plates at all.And no title.I might be in trouble.How can I reserch further? As far as the letters go,I can try to get info from some one. Thanks again. Brett
