Coolant in intake

Post by DJ »

Removed carb to be greeted with a puddle of coolant in intake.Ran fine 4 plus years ago sat in garage, ran extremely rough today. Thought carb was the problem. Was going to try carb off smooth running engine in other jeep, only to see coolant in intake. Suggestions as where to start trouble shooting?

Start with a crack inspection of the of the block near the intake runners.

Thanks Wes,
Upon further inspection number 3 cylinder spark plug is wet with coolant and drops on valve.
Don't see any cracks .

You'll need the head off to accurately inspect for cracks.
