Spacers for gas can holder

Post by Cacti_Ken »

What are the deminsions for the Gas can bracket/holder spacers? I would like to make me some. Also what diameter is the bolt that is used to hold it on with?

These spacers are 1" diameter stock and are 5/8" long. I believe they are held on with 5/16" bolts.

I made a set, if you have a power hacksaw it is much easier...

Hope This helps...

Thanks, that helps a lot. The holes in my can holder are close to a 1/2". Seems to me a bolt larger than 5/16" should be used.

Hi Guys,

Wanted to know, what shape these spacers are and where do they fit? I suppose between the tailgate and gas can bracket?

Thanks

Saad,

Great to see you make it to the new site. Glad to see you are still with your project.

I borrowed this imagine from the Midwest Military website. Yes they do go between the tailgate and jerry can holder.

Thanks Greg,

These are missing on my M38 and I had no idea that there goes spacers between holder and tailgate. Although, the jerry can seems to be binding with tailgate..

Jeeps is running for last 8 months. Things getting smoother. Many details pending. Pace of work slower.
