24 v Distributor M38A1

Post by Avenger3 »

I bought a new coli for my distributor but failed to take a picture before I pulled the old one out (I know I know). I think I reversed the leads when I put the new coil on.

I hooked up the lead from the positive terminal to the screw assembly on the points

I hooked up the lead from the negative terminal to the wire going underneath the plate holding the capacitor.

I think that is wrong. Am I ?

Thanks

The positive of the coil goes to the input connector of the distributor and the negative goes to the points
