I appreciate the offer, but it would be a recurring expense. I know other website forums run calendars, etc to raise funds and we use the book, but the added expense - not to mention the time to screen new members and track the forum all takes time and money.
If we go to a static site like the CJ3B.info, we can still have the files, maybe a static, searchable forum archive and add articles when we get time. That would be more of a fixed cost and time effort.
Right now I am working on Jake, our original website creator and my brother in law to help us figure out why the website will not back up so we can transition to a newer platform on a static type webpage design.

Yes that would be preferable, but is a lot more difficult per Jake. I know anytime I google anything M38/M38A1 our website forum postings are at the top.
I feel it helps people, but in the end I need to rely on Jake to do the work. We are still trying to find anyone with expert tech knowledge on this platform and moving it if anyone knows anyone!

I still chat with good buddy Bretto now and then. Life got in the way and sold that nice M38. He'll get back into Jeeps when life allows.4x4M38 wrote:Unfortunately I think we lost Bretto a while ago. He had some really good restoration photos as well as measurements for parts he fabricated.
It would be a shame to lose the good stuff.

Well you should have a go at my album, I'm sure there is quite a few that can be knocked out if not all of it.
I went through and saved anything I wanted back to my computer so no worries if you gut the album.
