Fording Jeep
This is a test run to see if I can upload, (download a picture). Bare with me. [image][/image]
I have a '48 M38/CJ2 depending on who you ask. It was I'm assuming a fording jeep. The battery that was in it was a 12-volt. Above is a picture of the sparkplugs (new) and the distributor. How do I attach the cables to the sparkplugs? I do not have the old plugs. Do I need to replace the distributor completely or get a different set of plugs. Thanks.

Re: Fording Jeep
I can see your pictures no problem! It looks like you have an M38 style distributor but someone has plugged the ventilation ports and then painted the cover that copper color. If you go to page 11 of the "M38 Underwater Ventilating System" document here on the site, you can get a good view of the two lines that tie into the sides of the distributor body:

As for your spark plugs, if you want to run traditional style 12 volt spark plugs with the 24 volt style waterproof wires and distributor, there are adapters available from various sources online for that:

This site has some great images showing what it looks like assembled.
Hope this helps!
