Gas Tank

I just picked up an M38 gas tank for $5. What a great find. I should have taken some before pictures but I forgot. It's at the radiator shop now for boiling, sandblasting, and painting. The shop is going to boil it out, solder some small holes, sand blast the exterior, and paint it black for $95. Is the proper color for the M38 gas tank black or green? Does anyone have pictures of the hold-down straps?

All tanks I have seen have been green. Below in mine, should help some.

Nice looking Jeep Greg. Thanks for the picture. I'll just spray the green over the black from the radiator shop.
