Adding M38A1 engine lifter hook
My M38A1 didn't have an engine lifter hook. Now I've managed to find the correct "M" shaped one. Can I just remove the two head bolts and bolt it on (sealing the bolt threads), or do I have to go through the entire headbolt tightening pattern? If so, better to do it cold or after it's been running? Or am I just worrying waaaay too much? Thanks!

Probably worrying too much. But be sure to use the correct length bolts for the lift bracket. (7/16"-14NC-3x4 5/8") (the bolt under the carb is 1 11/16" long and the rest are 4 1/4" long).
