so would my markings be something like this
PAFB 100 SFS A-5

I wouldn't use the A-5. That was a left over from the old Army Air Force Line of March number for Army companies. By the early 50's that had virtually disappeared from Air Force trucks. Most SAC bases required the "SAC" somewhere in all that numbering.
Something like SAC PAFB____________________________100 SFS
In many cases the SAC or PAFB often showed up by itself in the middle on a license plate.
That FEAF photo of the line jeep you can notice the markings are added on and roughly done since it was in Korea when equipment got swapped around a lot 50-53.

Still looking for someone that might know what the N in my hood number may mean.
