Just a heads up. There are no maintenance manuals or parts lists for the transistorized regulator. The Army considered them throw away units and no provisions or pubs were available to service them.
With that in mind hang onto that mechanical regulator and either get it rebuilt or learn to rebuild it on your own using the available tech data.

I was thinking the same thing Wes. I have a couple friends that are very knowledgeable with electronics, so will have them help me rebuild it for a spare.

Maybe we could create or build a manual from someone that is rebuilding one? If you have knowledgeable friends into electronics and they rebuild one for you perhaps we could get them to write down their steps and process for others to follow.
Just a suggestion...

We have a complete overhaul manual (TM 9-1825B fro the Autolite & TM 9-8627 for the Delco) for the mechanical regulator. It is the transistorized regulator that never had a rebuild / repair manual published because they were not rebuildable & considered throw aways.

OK. Didn't know if there was anything different in the discussion.
Thanks.
