As requested, I have uploaded some photos of the good, the bad and the ugly of my new project now affectionately called "The Admiral".

My M-38 was owned by a ranch owner in Central Texas after its life in the military and Texas National Guard, so it has not title. The great State of Texas has required that an inspection is required of the "assembled and complete" vehicle. Hence putting it together before tearing it apart...

Hi Dennis,
Had to do the same inspection in South Carolina to get a Title. No cost, no big deal, the inspector (lady) was pleasant and professional. She came to my home, looked, signed off on the paperwork, and I had a Title and Registration a few weeks later.
Putting it together before tearing it apart? I wish I had a nickel for every time I've done that on mine. Besides great practice, I found it breeds excellent familiarity not only with the jeep but the manuals too. As a rookie mechanic I need that.
Good luck!

Well, I found this today under a pile of crap in the back of the jeep... This should be fun!

Body tubs

Initial inspection of my body tub after unloading and reassembling as required for title, there is quite a bit of rust through in the floor area. I am thinking that a replacement tub will probably be the best and in the long run, cheapest avenue for me to pursue. Any comments, recommendations would be helpful as I see there are many different suppliers and pricing.
Thanks,
Dennis

Hey Dennis,
no experience with new tubs yet but from what I've read SGI tubs from Debella seems to be best in the business for accuracy, fit and attention to detail.
When the time comes, I'll most definitely will be ordering body parts from Debella's.

Dennis for what it is worth if you need a new floor board or the whole floor board and firewall Mullins has NOS of both, The can be pricey but then so is labor for metal work.
