I suppose the threaded top end issue depends weather you have the early or late upper button.
In either case the lower switch is adjustable and uses a jam nut to lock it into the adjusted position.
Do a search on this site for one of our Canadian friends who posted some good photos and a quality blow by blow.

Thanks for the photo Bob.........mine is not like that. I take it that is a late model application. Looks to be far better than my setup. I can see why now that Hal said the adjustment was on top.

Well, thanks for all the help guys. Turns out that the horn switch wiring came with my kit from Vintage wiring. I just needed to remove the old wires from the switch and stick the new ones in. Almost TOO easy......
Soon as the rest of the stuff gets here I'll try installing it all in the Jeep.

My M38 had a red rod in it to push the horn
button down at the bottom. I added an empty
.45 ACP case to give more area to push on at
the top. Worked quite well.
