Good reply from ebay vendor

Late yesterday afternoon I sent an email to the vendor I purchased the cap from. His reply was waiting for me when I woke up this morning. He said thanks for telling him, sometimes there are bad parts, sorry you got one, I'll send you another, I'll check it first to make sure it is good, no charge to you, I'll pay the shipping, no need to return the defective one.

I'll let you know how this turns out after the next cap arrives.
