I did a little poking around my photo files and found a 51 3A floor with it and a 53 CJ3B floor with it.
I think the indent remained throughout CJ-3A production so I did not make a point of including it in the book. That said, I could be wrong. More research is needed here.

NOS Willys replacement floor panel now installed in 51898 - indent in passenger side only.
