The clutch cross shaft is the most important ingredient & it needs to be in the right position @ rest....with the tabs right way round.

The clutch pedal rod should be the correct length [even if someone has modified so as to be adjustable] so the cross shaft tab is as in Al's picture.

Then the cross shaft cable to throw out bearing lever is adjusted to get correct clutch pedal free play/travel.
If this cable adjustment is not possible you have the wrong length cable or the throwout lever is not fitted correctly @ the fulcrum or the tabs have been welded to the tube incorrectly in relation to one another.

All is very simple when you have the right bits, fitted correctly & know how to adjust a clutch, to get correct free play.

Nothing that has not already been said. I would hope to keep the topic as simple and non-confusing as possible. Saying the same thing a few different ways simply increases the labor of trying to wade through the posting. :wink:
