I ordered some lines and they were a little long .... a lot long. So the 90 is down for now and I'll adress the issue later, first order of business is getting the filter mounted and working. Then getting the hose to not look like some drunk kindergartner installed it will follow. I'm really just excited to report that I was able to run 40 mph the 5 miles to the food drive meet with zero issues. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face all day.

Well, after putting the civie fuel/vacuum pump on my M38 I decided that I wanted to drive it to work one last time before winter when the new wiring harness install begins. I'll post pics of the wiring and other stuff later, but after I drove to work I hit the museum on post for a quick photo op and wound up with a crowd at my Willys.

Well, thanks to Bretto I have some new rims in the mail as I type this (thank you for the heads up on those btw) I think they're close enough for my M38:
I'll clean em up after I'm back from block leave and see how they turn out primed and painted.

The little 1/8" hole next to one lug hole usually means M38 wheel but check the rim width to be sure. One pickup wheel comes with that little 1/8" hole as well. You can tell them apart by rim width. 4.5" for the M38 and 5.0" for the pickup.

Wesk, they measure 4.5 inches across so I guess I got some real deal M38 rims? Either way, they look like with some cleaning up they're gonna work great. I'll upload another picture as soon as I get on a PC. My MacBook doesn't want to cooperate with the website on uploading to the gallery. Had to laugh a little when I took a step back and looked at the situation. SUPER excited about some "old rusty rims" ... ha ha

Since I'm 1,100 miles from my M38 for the holidays I can't wrench on it, but I can still buy junk for it off the internet... case in point the rims that I got delivered to here so that I can take em home with me. NOW I had been looking at a set of "M38 24 volt" gauges on that internet auction site. I know places like Kaiser Willys have single gauges for prices over $200 so this set being $65 shipped has me skeptical. I decided that since we only live once and I can't take my money with me I'll go ahead and take the dive. Just bought the gauge set and they'll be delivered to my house for me to install when I get back from leave. I'll report back on if they even work here as soon as I get them installed.

Do yourself a favor and gather them up, clean them up and gather up their senders and clean them up. Then get a few test leads with alligator clips and and a 24V power source. Then set down with the bulletin for troubleshooting/testing the gauges and senders and see what works and what doesn't work correctly before relying on unknown gauges in your jeep while operating it.

Looks like an M151 reproduction set with Packard connectors. The lens bezels give them away as does the mechanical sender for the water temp. Post a rear view of them. I can't see any illumination slots on the small ones.

In the teens here tonight, with ice predicted for Friday night.
I will miss northern Oklahoma with the duck hunting and some snow. Not much ice.
I learned in Wyoming many years ago that you can drive on snow, but nobody can drive on ice.
Especially the flatlanders in this part of the country!
