Yeah, I would imagine so - they probably saw the need for the upgrade from 1/2 - 3/4" in the M416 and included that upgrade in the B1. I figured that they were mainly used for lifting onto ships but tie down point as a secondary use.

So it looks like a 3" pipe would make a good arbor for the bend.
Hi Matt,
I measured the inside diameter of the loops and can confirm 3 inches, including paint.
