Installed the fenders and hood after work yesterday. Frankly i expected more of a fight with the alignment and such. Need to mount the hold-downs and tweak it some. Still not happy with the MD Juan hood..

Those tall gaps between the fender and the hood can only be eliminated by adjusting tub mounting. I try to temp fit the fenders while setting up the tub. This will show the need for a lot more compromising with tub mounting vs steering shaft, pedal, shifter, starter alignment vs fender alignment.

Changed out the WO for the YS.

Pulled the WO and installed the YS carb yesterday. The WO was running too rich-didnt want to spend time tinkering with it. The L-134 runs real
strong with the YS-very cool!! 1ST TRIP OFF THE FARM YESTERDAY!!
After proofing the truck on the farm all summer the confidence level is soaring. Took it up the canal road to the head gate and out to salmon falls creek and the gravel pit. Lots of gravel roads out among the cornfields.
Engaged transfer case and pulled some dirt berms at the gravel pit. Back towards the farm i hit some pavement no problems with steering at speed. Comfortable @ 40mph then the inner speedo cable broke. By this time i had logged 22 miles and was still 10 miles from home. So a +-
30 mile trip with no major problems.. MAN I LOVE THIS TRUCK!! :D

John, AKA Oilleaker, sold me his spare set of old-stock door frames.
They'll need a little tweaking but are in good overall condition for
their age. I was gonna get a winter top and side curtains only 'cuz
i didn't think there was a chance in heck i'd ever find door frames.
Now to hit the lottery so i can get the complete winter enclosure
THANKS AGAIN JOHN!!

Looks great Rick. It plays the part for Halloween being a skeleton and all.
I see you have your wiper vacuum lines in place. How do they function? I am still working on mine and almost done. On my pretest run, my motors worked fine without the arms on but as soon as I put the arms on they got too much resistance wiping the glass. I greased and oiled them here and there. Took them apart many times looking for any possble leaks. I finally found air gaps between the rubber on the piston or sweeper and the housing wall. If you have ever seen the wiper guts, you'll know what I'm talking about but I was able to pinch the metal that is on either side of the rubber on the sweeper, in just the right spots, to squeeze out the rubber to make contact with the walls. They now wipe both arms/blades across a dry windshield and should satisfy the safety inspection requirement. I think they should work great if they were to ever see rain.

They seem pretty strong altho i haven't run them with arms and blades
(vendor sent me mis-matched arms but is making good on it).

I got the winter enclosure on this weekend. Fit and function are
exactly what you would expect from Pizzoferatto-excellent.
What i hadn't prepared myself for was the dramatic loss of
vision sides and rear, i mean it's obvious and will take some getting
used to. The other thing is how much different the truck sounds now-
every squeak, bump, gear whine is amplified now the cab is enclosed.
Not complaining-it's just a different beast to drive now!!

Install a passenger side convex mirror with a long arm like your drivers side and it will be a big help.

Debella sells a rear view mirror that bolts up to existing holes on the windshield frame. It's proved invaluable.

In my foto you can see i've got my std driver side unit and a magnetically
mounted windshield mirror. I'd always driven "topless" so the
change really hit me..

I saw that, but wasn't sure! I have a passenger side mirror mounted as well, but can't use it when I have the doors on.

I love the smell of new rubber in the mornin'

Rick...what brand are the tires? I seem to recall some discussion on STA tires but cannot find a link nor do I know what the letters signify. I have a friend looking for something aggressive off road but we do get snow and he does not want poor handling/control in snow. Will these fill that bill?
