Well, the waterproof sleeve screws on fine, unless I put the speedometer driven gear in it. The long end of the driven gear is at such an angle, the waterproof sleeve wonted match up with the threads.

If you read a few posts back I already told you to remove that rear cap and make sure the drive gear has the correct end forward. Have you done that yet?

No. I am going to do that, the engine just took a dump right before I got a chance, and I had it towed to my buddies shop, where it's sitting right now. Then Novak emailed me. Among other things, I repeated to them what you had told me, and they responded:

"The speedo drive gear in backwards would not cause the gear to push away. The nature of the worm gear is that it drives the same direction in either orientation. The extended shoulder area being forward or back would not affect the speedo gear except that the worm may not be right in the middle of the perpendicular driven gear for any reasons that I can imagine. It is our practice to orient them forward as per factory."

I will still pull that drive gear, I've already learned the hard way that I can't trust their word.
