It's 100 degrees and my dogs were not having it, otherwise doggy pool. Air conditioning only.
I did some wiring, but got pushed inside due to the thunderstorm that popped up.
Have a weekend left before I head out again. Not sure how much more I will work on till october.

April,
Your YT Fan Club is asking for another video before you shove off on that all expenses paid pleasure cruise.
Are those leather straps on your ax and shovel?

HAHAHAH. It is so dang hot outside- well over a 100* and the TV said rain coming. I may go out there in a bit and run some more wire. I am short about 5 feet of wire for the front blackout lights.
I will see if i can add another video on YT before I go. I technically have two weeks till I shove off again.

Not leather straps- they are canvas ones- they just seemed to fade real quick.
Not running yet! I am wiring everything. Will get around to it. Also missing some parts still like a brake line connection and a brake spring.
Doing some odds and ends today.

We got some lights. My blackout lights aren't grounded well so I will fix that. But the rest seem to be good.
Not hooked to the switch yet. I was jumping it to just take this photo.

My home does not have any trees- the behind the house neighbor does have several oak, maple and pine trees. They are transient Army folks constantly in and out- never the same people.
The owner wont reach back to me.
A storm rolled through and took part of a branch off the tree down, and it didnt break all the way off- so I had to climb up, reach with a pole saw and cut the rest of it down. Otherwise it would come down when I am not home!
I was supposed to have sailed already in the rental Cutter. Maintenance was done on a generator engine and shocking!!! it wasn't done right. Death by a thousand papercuts here on this engine. The engine fuel pumps were not timed correctly, someone switched the wires on the air damper flaps to be closed when they should be open and the fuel choke cable was parting. All things that my crew didn't do- but was done prior to us comeing aboard. Well, the engine oversped and caught the generator section on fire. I heard someone yell SMOKE, and rushed to the engineroom and sure enough- all hands were desperately trying to shut the engine off. I just yelled to shut the fuel valve and when they did- it shut down. The fire continued in the generator section for a few more minutes. Filled my whole ship and engine room with smoke. So long story short, we are staying put until a new generator and engine section are installed tuesday. It will take a few more weeks to have the hull buttoned up and engine in operating status.
In the mean time, we are fixing all the things left to us that were hidden and broken.
I am spending time between rain showers, mosquito infestation and thunderstorms out trying to finish the wiring. I am so close to being done.

Will finish working on my trailer plug here today.
Starting to look pretty dang slick!
I am working on my YT. I have so much video footage from the last month of work on it, that I just keep archiving and not actually sitting here to do it. I hate sitting at a computer.
Working on it right now actually. Hope to put something up tomorrow.
I will keep you all posted. While the ship is broken, I get very little free time.

Hi April,
I keep forgetting to ask where you got that Poppy mounted on your grill?
It's a nice touch on a vintage military jeep.
What's it made of?
p.s. .... enjoyed the side-quest YT video on that large motor swap. Impressive!

Ron,
I bought it off this company- came from Scotland.
I have two- one on the 63 and one on the 52.
Made of thick heavy duty plastic- held on with zipties.

Jeep is closed up for the season till the end of this eventual deployment. We are still putting together and wiring that engine/generator section on the ship. I have been at work most days till 1900. It's not easy to take over someone elses ship and not find a million things wrong.
I will be back at it in October!

Deployment was canceled. I am having the generator prime mover replaced again because of the damage the rag caused. I won't deploy again till March now.
A few weeks ago, i tried ordering two new tires for my M100 from a different manufacturer than the ones I have on my jeep. I have been waiting 14 months for my jeep spare tire to show up. Well, it was suppose to be in shock. Got a call saying it's back ordered with no estimated ship date.
I wonder if they just don't give a dang about their customers. I could cancel the order, but I'd still enjoy out tires.
Jeep project is still going, but slow. I took a few days of leave to do work on the 63 f100 and my Jeep.

Hi April,
I bought all 7 of my tires from these folks.
Very nice quality tires, made in the USA, fast "free" shipping.
Prices have gone up HUGE over the last year.
