Just bought this nos pcv valve and it did not come with any guts in it. Was told by the person that sold it that on the m38 they don't need the guts. Is this true?

Hi Aaron,
If the PCV valve doesn't have any guts it's known as a coupling!

Yep, you need the guts.

Weird sold as NOS without any internals.

Whomever told you that wasn't the brightest bulb on the tree! You would end up with a serious vacuum loss instead of the proper controlled/metered vacuum loss. Next time you talk to him remind him to smarten up and just not say anything!

If you got the PCV from a supplier could you name him or the company so we all know who to watch.

They are correcting the mistake, so I prefer not to.
