MIX I GO FUEL ADDITIVE

The Muni airport where I buy my fuel is offering an unleaded, non-ethanol 91 octane blend with "MIX I GO" additive. This pump is next to the 100LL pump and I assume it is a lower grade of avgas. Wes, as a seasoned A/P guy I'd like your input as pertains to it's use in our jeeps.

Not familiar with the additive but the 91 octane is standard
road premium octane.

Not quite. There are additives in standard road 91 premium that are not allowed in aviation 91 Octane.

You can run it in your jeep but you will need a lead replacement additive. If you mix it 50/50 with 100LL you will the best gas you find today for your jeep.

I am not familiar with the additive as noted. Restating my post
for clarity.

Standard road premium gasoline in Idaho is 91 octane. AvGas as
supplied is 100 octane.

For the uneducated. Does AvGas not have a percentage of
lead not allowed in road gas?

You should be able to get specs on both of those gasolines.

Avgas 100LL (blue dye) has lead and a lot of it.

There are other AVGAS's such as 100L (green dye) which has a lot more lead and is not sold in this country. I image in some places overseas there may even still be 80L (red dye).

80UL was not received well in this country and we don't see it anywhere. The Feds are working towards a 100UL. Aircraft engine builders are working hard for a successful diesel engine better performing then the popular French built unit.

When an airport makes a 91 oct unleaded fuel available to service aircraft there are restrictions the gas must meet. You are welcome to research them.

In this country NO (0) lead is allowed in road gas.

Wesk, if you please, a question for clarification. What fuel do you recommend for a motor with hardened valve seats? And what fuel do you recommend for original motors still running without hardened seats?

See link above. My question to WES was intended to be more specific toward this additive, particularly it's lubrication claims when used in unleaded gas.
