I just acquired a very nice 52 from a gentleman in Calgary last weekend who had it for many years. He may even be a member on here? I'm limited in knowledge on these but this unit appears to be very complete with a few nice upgrades for driveability. The first army truck I drove while serving was a 1956 6x6 5 Ton gasser which is a lot like this rig. I'm not doing anything drastic but need to sort out the wipers and maybe tackle an oil leak or two this winter. This is my bucket list ride and couldn't be happier with my purchase. How do I post pictures?

It will usually be easier to start a photo album on our web site then link those photos to your post. To start an album go here and ask for one: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... wforum&f=9

'52 flat fender or M38A1? With original equipment winch? That's a rare piece if it is. If you want to go drive with a bunch of Jeeps, there is a meet next July 17th near Cherryville in BC for a week. All fun. John

It's a 52 M38CDN. Ford Canada built M38. The M38A1 was produced in Canada as the M38A1 CDN1 By Ford Canada, M38A1 CDN2 by Kaiser Canada and finally the M38A1 CDN3 back in toledo by Kaiser Jeep.

The Canadians installed the winch's on the M38 CDN,s in the field not at Ford Canada.

I'll check that gathering out, thanks oileaker. As for originality, it's anybody guess. He did tell me it's the correct Ramsey winch on it. And I have new data plates stating as such. I'm still going through this with a fine tooth comb ans want to document all it needs.

Thanks AC. I'm contemplating putting the BO markers back on front and rear since safety's are not required here; at least I wasn't asked for one. Still thinking that one through. I will be driving it on the road a bit and could get away with arm signals. Not sure if young kids would understand them?
