M38 leatherette rear seat cushion

Anybody see this factory 1953 replacement M38 seat cushion assembly in leatherette?

How did it fasten to the pan?

The spring used two rear seat spring retainers PN 7697509 and four bolts PN 425381 and four nuts PN 120375. Center of page 303 of the M38 ORD 9.
The cushion fabric (or TRIM as it is called in the ORD 9) is screwed to the lower frame tube with 10 Self tapping Screws PN 111687 and finsih washers PN 140241 at the top of page 304 in the M38 ORD 9.
The how to is on page 317 of TM 9-8012 Para. 268f.
When looking up seat parts in the ORD 9 you will find our tech writer wasn't trained the same way we were. He has different labels for parts that we have different labels for.
Cushion = padding between spring and cover.
Trim = Cover

So the Willys tag on the assembly isn't for the
whole assembly but just the springs, et al?
Note it is leatherette in 1953 as replacement
stock.

In this example the Willys PN 673586 represents an entire cushion assembly which includes the trim (Cover), the padding and the spring. The seat cover material changed to leatherette in Jun 1952 with the introduction of the M38A1. There is an ongoing discussion over weather the leatherette ever showed up on late M38 production or not.

Yep, I've read a lot of those posts.
I'm leaning to leatherette for wear and tear on a daily driver.
Thoughts?

Wes,
I guess what I was looking for was experience from folks
using canvas versus leatherette as a daily driver.
Understand there is a wealth of ideas regarding factory and
motor pool restoration.

That's simple.
Canvas:
1-Soft and comfy right away.
2-Great smell if you like it.
3-Stays flexible in colder temps.
4-When left baking in the sun they will not burn your skin to touch.
5-It doesn't like being under water long. Just like tent canvas if you rub against it while water is on it the water will seep through the material.
6-Can be difficult to clean spots off of it.
Vinyl:
1-Soft & comfy right away in warm weather only.
2-Smell depends on how ell you appreciate it.
3-Is not flexible in extreme cold.
4-When left baking in the sun they will burn your but when you touch them.
5-Usually easy to clean spots off of.
