1952 M38 early 24 volt starter. Locking pivot screw holding up my tear down. Any ideas on how to remove the screw and not mess it up? Right now I have Kriol working on it. Don't have too much faith in it, cause the screw has been there since who knows how long. Heat would be inappropriate for this application. It's too small to get in there on it.Image[url]Image

The problemis most likely dissimilar metals , steel and aluminum dont mix.. You could try a soldering iron to heat up the screw and let it cool.

I'll give it a try. I never thought of a soldering iron, wouldn't think it would get it hot enough.
:D

Thanks
