All right a question for the brain trust. My 55 M170 came to me with an aftermarket steering dampner on it. Does it really make a difference on a stock jeep? Should I keep it or toss it?

After I rebuilt my front end during my restoration, it tracks down the road like my daily driver does.

Place it in the scrap bin. If your steering/suspension is in order you don't need it. It is a band-aid to mask problems with knuckle bearings and other front suspension parts.

NOS knuckle seals from John at Midwest will make a big difference. They help act as a damper with the drag they create. One more piece to the puzzle.
