Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me the best way to route the electrical cables for the 24v receptacle through the bulkhead/battery bay for the receptacle on the right hand fender.

Trawled through all my disassembly pictures and cannot find a picture of this, also looked through a few manuals to no avail.

Regards

Nic

The early A1's were the only from the factory with the aux pwr receptacle installed. The majority of the A1's with this power receptacle were installed in the field.

Thanks Wes

As always you come to the rescue, I was not aware a lot of the recepetacles were fitted in the field.

My 1952 USMC M38A1 seems to be mostly unmolested and on it, the connector is mounted so that the two pin sockets are below the center of the connector. The pin socket toward the front of the vehicle is positive and the rear one is grounded. When routed through the firewall, the positive cable is toward the center of the vehicle. The cables are attached to the starter as shown in Wes' message. The cables are longer than needed and the slack in taken up in a single loop about 5 inches in diameter between the fender and the starter and the loop is secured with several white nylon tie wraps.
