Hi there. My name is Tony. I have a 1944 Wilys MB jeep undergoing restoration. I am truly hoping someone somewhere has some help or advice on making a couple of wing mounted battery boxes.

I have searched long and hard and found no luck in tracking down the dimensions of these little gems. Does anybody have any idea's ? Or do you own any that I can reference the dimensions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Many Thanks for your time

Tony

Tony,

You mention "wing" mounted battery boxes. Sounds like you are from Great Britain. I have been away from the WWII jeeps for many years but I don't recall a fender mounted battery boxes for US MB's with radios. They had a PTO driven 12 volt generator setup for that and the 12 volt battery mounted inside the jeep on the floor.

I am sure you are speaking of signal equipped English Army jeeps during WWII such as this airborne unit:

Army Radios.com doesn't seem to mention them and the photo above is of the only jeep I see on any web sites with them.
