how to start a flooded engine

Any tips for getting a flooded engine to start?
I went to fire up the M38 after sitting for a few weeks and accidentally choked it for too long. I am pretty sure it is flooded and need to get it fired up tomorrow morning to take the kids out for a day of fun in the desert.
Last time I did this I just let it sit overnight and it fired up in the morning but I need to figure out how to get it going if i do it somewhere away from home.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
