I was just told about a month ago that AUTOLITE 2245 was now discontinued. Can someone confirm this, can't find anything. I see oreilys doesn't carry them any more ether. IF so, are there any alternatives being made still ?

Sounds odd. Have you googled "Autolite 2245 spark plugs" ????

I found several current MV vendors with them.

I can confirm that Autolite has discontinued all the military plugs. I can special order them, 5000 pieces at time. Prices are going to climb.

#@$%@, $185 for wires, now it will be $25 per plug! Man, I bought them for $7 ea a couple of years ago from O'reilly. I was just about ready to go back to order some too - guess I'm a little late to the party.

I think it's about time to switch over to civi wires and plugs for $45! I can put the originals back in for shows - should last another 20 years easy using them that little.

I just called Oshkosh - they are out of stock. Either that or holding them for a price increase!

Isn't it kind of weird that the word gets out that Autolite has discontinued
these guys and nearly every source has virtually dried up overnight?

AND you know the prices will jump by AT LEAST $10 ea (that equals $25 or more PER PLUG) after everybody gets to looking for them! I don't know what the markup is on these things for sure, but it looks like 100% or more(based on me being able to buy then at O'Reilly for $7.50, and most places selling them for $15. Since John says he can special order them in lots of 5,000, would it be worth looking into a group buy? I'm sure you would need an account with them or something of that nature - maybe if someone can get 5,000 preorders, a parts store (maybe a local NAPA) would order them for us for a SMALL profit?

Just throwing some thoughts out there - I know I can't afford to buy $200 worth of plugs for 2 jeeps more than once a decade!

And there are cross-references to other
manufacturers. I'm assuming a like plug is
still available, it just won't be an OEM Autolite.

I got all worked up over Autolites - haven't even checked the local stores to see if they can get some of the others. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Champions are available sometimes. They to are intermittent with their supply.
You can run the 2243 plugs in your jeep without harming it. I have plenty of those for the time being. You get 200 pre orders and I will order them. I have a direct account.

I called my local O'Reilly today and asked about 2245, 2243, Champion 517 and AC Delco WR46. I got a nope, nope, nope and a "that one doesn't even come up". I hope it will be a while before I have to order any. Anybody want to take John up on the group buy? I can ask on the other forums too.

$65 (includes shipping) for 4 plugs. I asked the seller if the price was for four plugs and he ensured me it was.
