Rubber pad

Post by Cacti_Ken »

Was the pad under the grill BO marker light a thick O'ring? Page 161, part # 7375023.
I also notice in the parts list a pad for the head light Part # 7375022. What is it talking about?

No, just thin flat rubber pads or they could also be called a gasket.

It's round and lays between the bucket and the grill where the bucket mount screws are.

7375024 is the head light gasket
look at the blow up of the marker light in the ORD 9... if the pad 7375023 is not thick the light will not be centered in the grill cut out (verticaly)I don't have it on mine and the light sits about 3/8 lower than centered.
if your using all the right gaskets and pads under your lights don't forget 7346941

I have the two headlight bucket gaskets which go between the HL bucket and the grill. I found a couple of rubber grommets that could be used for the pad for the grill marker BO lites. Except they are about 1/2 tall. I cut it down to about 3/16" which just about centers the fixture.
Sometime's, (in my opinion the Ord 9 isn't clear) and have a little trouble in deciphering it.

I have a box full of never used extra shock mounting rubbers that come in handy for things like the marker light pads.

The head light and BO driving light don't show a rubber pad in the pictures. Yet gives a part number for them. Ho Hum!
Wes, thanks I'll see what I can come up with here before requesting an order from you.

Ken,

I went to ACE today for some other hardware and I found they have Rubber washers up to 2" in diameter and 1/8" thick with a 3/8" hole in the center just what you need... they were $1.11 ea... In the little parts boxes is where I found them... They come in smaller sizes also...

Hope this helps...
