M38 manual trivia.
The September 1950 M38 operation & maintenance manual was titled TM9-804. After many changes the last version (January 1956) was re-titled TM9-8012. The first and apparently last versions of TM9-1804A Engine & Clutch (June 1951) and TM9-1804B Power Train, Body & Frame (July 1952) used the "804" format. However there is an interesting reference in the February 1955 ORD 7 to "TM9-8013-1 (TM9-1804A)" and to "TM9-8013-2 (TM9-1804B)". Unless someone has see an example then I assume that the TM-8013 series of manuals were never published.
