I started to install new wiper assembly's on my M38A1. Can't quite figure out why they won't fit. When placing wiper motors up to windshield the hand crank hits windshield before the assembly is flush with the windshield. I'll try and post some photos. Any ideas? Thanks, mike[/img]

There are 3/8"(?) cylindrical spacers that go between the w/s and wiper bracket - if my memory serves me correctly. The screws go through the w/s then the spacers and thread into the bracket.

Matt, Thank you. I had about come to the conclusion that there had to be a spacer but just could not imagine them putting one there. Mike

Have a look through Wes' s photo album - I can pretty much guarantee that he has a pic in there. Also, the manual downloads are free - you can find it in there. If you can't find a pic, I'll take one for you when I get off work.

It will always make your life much easier to have the parts manual and the service manual on the bench when you are working on your jeep. One or both will usually answer any questions that may arise! And they are free to download here on our web site!

Did you not have those two manuals?

Wes, For some reason when I downloaded this manual some of these photos/drawings show up as a black page. Probably some setting on my iPad. I'll try again on my laptop.

Our web site is a very old style system and is not very compatible with Ipads. We have a notice posted looking for a computer geek / jeep restorer to help update the web site and manage it's technical aspects.
