This jeep has been in my family for about 30 years now. My dad bought it in the 80s. This year I was able to start working on it. I am new to working on old cars. So far everything is going well. I have rebuilt the master cylinder and all the wheel cylinders, all I have left to do on the brakes is adjust the shoes so they don't rub on the drum. The jeep didn't have the original carb on it so I bought one of eBay for 100 bucks and got a rebuild kit for it and just finished it the other day. I took the valve cover off and everything looked brand new! No rust!! Now I need to buy some tires. If anyone knows where I could get tires that would a big help. Later on I will do a full restoration and pain everything. Right now I just want to get it running and then go from there. I am going to need to replace the wiring! If anyone knows where I could get a wiring harness, that would also be a big help!

Where are you located Phoenix?
That will help answer some questions.
Wallace Wade in Dallas has NDCC tires in the correct size for the A1.
Take care,

I don't exactly know how to post pictures. I can only access the internet through my phone so it is not very easy to figure things out on it.

Find a computer literate friend who will give you some free time on his PC to access our web site and we can get you set up with a photo album so you can link photos to your posts.

I can download photos from my iPhone for my gallery but linking
to them in posts doesn't seem to work. Probably operator error.
If you to take photos with your phone be sure and resize them per this
website's requirements. The new phones take photos in HD and it eats
up a lot of bandwidth.
