Started this thread so as not to bogart mdainsd's project thread.

even more confusion....

Wes mentioned that mine has one 41 brake set up and one 44 setup. Your 41 appears to have 44 setups.

Yes, both sides.

Thank goodness! Makes brake work a lot easier!

Keep in mind guys what I posted on the othe project page:
It is quite possible the M38 version of the 41 came with sealing caps for the ends of the shafts.
This statement obviously applies well to Brian's 41 model axles.

In mdainsd's axle which is a model 44 the 3 scew drum attachment is correct and the model 41 hub/drum arrangement on the one side does not belong there. I am surprised the brake show is not crowding the inner face of the drum.
