Question in brake light switch
I'm almost done wiring my M38. It's not original and has a new 12 volt wiring harness from a CJ3A. I'm having a problem with the brake light switch. I can't get the male connectors on the wiring harness to fully insert into the brake light switch. It seems they only go in about half way no matter how hard I push. Do they just push in or am I missing something here? Thanks, Marty.

Marty, Try giving us a wee bit more info. What type of terminal are you using? Which brake light switch are you using? Better yet post a photo the thingy you are trying to push in and the thingy that you are trying to push into.

Wes, Here are the pictures. In the first picture you can see the male connectors from the wiring harness and the switch. I removed the switch for the second picture for clarity. As you can see, the male connector can only go in half way. And like Mark who also posted, it looks like I have broken the switch. I guess I could solder it like he did but I hope there is another way since it is pretty tight under there. I'll be buying a new switch, they are pretty cheap. Thanks, Marty

You'll need a booted style male terminal pin.

Similar to this.
However if the second photo is your switch with half an ear broken off you may just need to solder the pins in and insulate with heat shrink.
