a1 rear axle reassembly

I am starting to reassemble the rear axles and have been referencing tm-8014 and 8015 but I want to make I am doing everything correctly. So here is where I am so far. I repacked the bearings and inserted the axles back into the tubes next I slid the bearing cones into place and drove them in until they were flush with the shims. I did this on each side which resulted with roughly 1/16th end play. I then reassembled everything on the d/s stopping with the oil slinger. I am not sure how to proceed from here.
