Fording Controls

Post by Boze »

On an M38, does the fording control knob pull on two cables (crankcase and air cleaner) at once? I am trying to reconstitute the apparatus but am a bit puzzled. I have almost nothing to start with and am working with a MD Juan tub of 2003 vintage. There is no hole for the control knob/cable. I have the crankcase vent valve in place. Any info would be appreciated. I have a source for the two cable brackets and some retaining clips.

Yes, the fording system control cable is a two cables system, one handle actuates both. They are on the big online auction site all the time.
Sounds like you have almost everything. you didn't mention if you have the M38 crossover tube with the second valve.
