M38 floor gauge

Post by 4x4M38 »

I know most of the body panels are 18 gauge, and the rear riser is 16 gauge. What gauge is the floor?

I am pretty sure my floor is original. I have a section Bubba cut open and bent
up, who knows why, and the edge appears thicker than 18 gauge. I will try and clean it up and put a dial caliper on it, but wanted to know if the front floors were 16 gauge instead of 18.

Thanks,

I cut out a section of rusted floor in my M38 and the thickness was the same as the 18 gauge I welded back in.
