Valve seat angles

Post by Harleygaz »

I’ve read in a number of places that valves for the L134 should be ground to 45 degrees and seats to 46 degrees but I cannot find any documentation to support it. In fact TM9-1804A specifically says valves and seats to be 45 degrees with no leeway. Does anybody have any documentation to support the 46 degree seat angle?

I looked in several sources and Both military manuals for the L134 & the F134 say 45/45. The civvy manual says 45/45 for the L134 and 46/46 for the F134. The Moses Ludel manual calls out 45/45 for both the L134 & F134.
