I have pictures of my main shaft and main gear. It looks like the main shaft needs to be replaced.
Does the main gear need to be replaced? The endside of the main gear feels smooth. There is just one discolored place that still feels smooth.

Just be cautious when buying new gears from some vendors. Make it clear you want US made gears.
