From time to time I get into spirited (mostly one sided) conversations with friends who have just bought a new vehicle. The enthusiasm level sometimes is udreal.

If I get a word in edgewise, I'll finally ask if they've read their manual yet.
Usually the answer is no, After all, guys don't need manuals. God bless you ladies. Usually we find you've already performed that critical step!

Anyway, for fun I'll drag out my copy of the TM9-8012, hand it to them, and ask if their manual has a Chapter 4, Section 2.

When I bought my jeep I spent about $200 on a set of the Army tech manuals and the M38 Reference Guide. Still a great investment --- greasy pages, notes in the margins, spilled beverages, and all.

I'm not from Llano, but I like looking at the pictures too! 8O  8)

There's words??

When I was a kid building models, that's all I used were the pictures..... Sometimes the words are like reading 1970s/80s stereo instructions.... In poor English. Dyslexia...

Ahhh, Ralph...

Actually I was going through the table of contents looking for something else when Chapter 4 caught my eye.

“This looks interesting...”

“Oh, wow!”
