Waterproof/shielded sparkplug wire rebuild

Has anyone ever rebuilt a the military sparkplug wires? I have taken one end apart to replace the rubber, but have not tried to thread a new sparkplug wire through the shielding. If there's any interest, I can do a writeup on and removing and replacing the inner sparkplug wire. The inner wire looks like normal copper core sparkplug wire.
