Brake cylinder s

Post by 51restore »

I am changing brake cylinders on my m38. Front right went ok so far. Front left is different. Looks like the brake drum will not come off until the main hub and seals etc are off. No 3 small screws in the drum like the right front. I have manuals but no reference to this much work getting to the left front brake cylinder. Did a previous owner swap or alter that? The cylinder does not appear to be leaking. I can just leave it alone for now. Early 51. Mc33xxxImage

The only way for us to help is to see what you are looking at. Post a photo of the problem brake drum.

New here. Not sure how to attach a photo. Do I request a personal gallery?

That is the easiest way. Our very old web site does not offer direct loading from your files to your post. See the rules listed in our " Photo Posting & Gallery requests/problems" board.
