Moisture on dipstick.

The last two times ive checked the oil in my M38 since we started driving it again there has been milky oil on top of the baffle in the dipstick. There is no milky oil at the bottom of the stick on the crankcase oil and the air breather oil is clean as well. Is this just normal condensation or do I have something going on?

Possible you have a leaking head gasket !!!
Looks like light brown milk...

Coolant leaking into the oil sump thru a bad head gasket will turn the oil's color yellowish brown.
But Ryan only has moisture contamination at the top of the dipstick tube. This is normal when humidity is high or the jeep is only run for a few minutes not reaching normal operating temps tends to not evaporate all the normally accumalated moisture that we find in our oil. This moisture does no real harm to the oil but collects on the cool area of the upper dipstick housing.

I have figured out my problem. I either have a thermostat stuck open, or there is not one in there at all. drove the jeep for about 10 miles or so yesterday and the only time the engine would get warm is when you killed it. As soon as you cranked it up it would go back down to 110 or so. I will get a thermostat and gasket for the ol girl and will be back up and doing good.
