I have a circuit breaker on the left side of the back of the instrument panel . I am installing a new harness, and am wondering what wires would attach to it. The tub that it came off of also had the three breakers on the battery box. What would this breaker be for?
Thanks DJ
I've checked the manuals and the diagram supplied with the harness and don't see the breaker.

Wire # 27 from the ignition switch goes to the instrument cluster circuit breaker. The breaker is for the fuel quantity, water temp and oil pressure gages which are connected to the circuit breaker by the spider harness. This was the setup used from MC10001(SEP 50) thru MC65042 (APR 52).
The other three circuit breakers are for the accessory plug on the firewall, the horn and the lights. These three circuit breakers were used on MC10001 (SEP 50) thru MC65927 (APR 52).
When ordering a harness one must be careful to specify what period M38 you need it for. The electrical changes to the M38 that necessitated harness changes were:
1-MC20599 about May 51 Ignition noise filter moved from firewall to distributor.
2-MC29886 (AUG 51) Stop light switch extension harness discontinued.
3-MC38387 (SEP 51) Dual plug light switched changed to single plug.
4-MC47771 (JAN 52) Accessory receptacle on firewall discontinued. Also factory installation of slave cable receptacle discontinued.
5-MC65042 (APR 52) Discontinued instrument cluster circuit breaker.
6-MC65927 ((APR 52) Discontined three circuit breakers on battery box.
7-MC66734 (APR 52) Switched from down angled main light switch plug to straight out the back plug.
Also be prepared to discuss any special wiring needs, like combining several changes or not using a change that belongs on your serial and don't forget to discuss turn signals and the use of two left hand tail lamp assemblies.
